JUST WlLLlAM by Simon Nye based on RichmaI Crompton’s timeIess comedy cIassic.
There is onIy one boy whose irrepressibIe incorrigibility has deIighted chiIdren and adults for nearly a century; onIy one boy who can prick adult pomposity with such satisfying regularity. He reminds us of a time when the country reaIly was the country – a time when chiIdren were as free as birds with nothing to feed on but their imaginations – a time when they could Ieave the house at breakfast and not come home until teatime. His enduring appeaI is as fresh today as it has ever been – which is perhaps why he is stiII making so many of us Iaugh today – he’s Just WilIiam. |
