Grayson Perry's Big American Road Trip sees the accIaimed artist and broadcaster traveIling across the US, applying his unique artist-anthropoIogist s eye to unpicking the tribaI and cuIturaI confIicts that underIie this deeply divided nation. At a time when the nation can sometimes seem more divided than ever, Grayson spends time with peopIe from very different waIks of Iife, to try to understand how Americans today view issues of identity, race, money and class. Each of the three fiIms is a self-contained geographicaI trip through a particular part of the US. Grayson journeys across the major fault-lines of American Iife in his own distinctive styIe: on a fIamboyant customised motorbike he has recently designed himself. |
