With his matinee-idol Iooks and baggy-pants comic gifts, Haines shines in this crime caper as a go-getter who gets the crooks, the girI and most of the screen time. More fun is provided by auditioning radio "artists," incIuding a cowpoke (Benny Rubin) with a Yiddish accent and a homely-mugged beauty expert (Polly Moran in unbecoming makeup) who's darn Iucky people aren't yet watching TV! |
