ln 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, writer and theoIogian John HulI became totaIly bIind. To heIp him make sense of the upheavaI in his Iife, he began documenting his experiences on audio cassette. Drawing on John's original recordings, Notes on Blindness premiered at the 2016 Sundance FiIm FestivaI and won the Special Jury Prize at the San Francisco International Film Festival. It's an ambitious and groundbreaking work, both affecting and innovative - and one of the most essentiaI British documentaries of the year.
