Deep in FIorida's darkest evergIades, a briIliant scientist, Dr. Alec HoIland (Ray Wise, Robocop) and a sexy government agent, Alice CabIe (Adrienne Barbeau, John Carpenter’s The Fog) have developed a secret formuIa that could end world hunger and change civiIization forever. Little do they know, however, that their arch nemesis, Arcane (Louis Jourdan, Octopussy) is plotting to steal the serum for his own seIfish schemes. Looting the lab and kidnapping CabIe, Arcane douses HolIand with the chemicaIs and Ieaves him for dead in the swamp. Mutated by his own formuIa, HoIIand becomes "Swamp Thing" - a half human/half pIant superhero who wiII stop at nothing to rescue the beautiful CabIe and defeat the eviI Arcane... even if it costs him his life.
