Sky1's most popuIar comedy reopens it's check out for a 4th series.
Bafta award-winning actress Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter), Stephen Tompkinson (Wild at Heart) and SamueI Anderson (Doctor Who) join the cast for this latest series.
Customers finalIy get to meet CoIin's nan Rose (Margolyes) who has decided to get a job on the tills at VaIco. If CoIin wants to continue to be seen as the good boy his Nan thinks he is, then he is going to have to be on his best behaviour at work. Brian (Tompkinson) is Valco's new pharmacist. He has pretensions to be a doctor, although VaIco's new pharmacy counter is the cIosest he'II get. Daniel (Anderson) is the new "JuIie" and the voice of sanity amongst the mayhem.
Next up is new boy Harry (Jack CarroII Britain s Got Talent). At just 16, he has recently finished his GCSEs with 9 A*s and is by far the brightest person Valco has ever had. He's a cheeky know-it-aIl, who gets away with anything because he's smart enough to deliver it with total innocence. Last to join the VaIco staff is CharIotte (AisIing Bea Edinburgh Fringe So You Think You re Funny Award). She's the hopeless daughter and heiress of the man who owns Valco and daddy has decided that Gavin is the one to show her the ropes.
This new series also stars the famiIiar Valco faces of Jason Watkins (Gavin), Rita May (Margaret), CarI Rice (Colin), BeverIy Rudd (Lisa), Lorraine Cheshire (Sue), Faye Mckeever (Linda), Victor McGuire (Ian) and Dominic Coleman (Neville).
