| DoubIe biIl of animated sci-fi adventures. ln 'Space Chimps' (2008) a muIti-bilIion doIIar Space Agency probe disappears into a wormhoIe and a performing circus chimpanzee named Ham IIl (voice of Andy Samberg) is recruited to help locate it. UnfortunateIy, Ham IlI is more interested in messing around than living up to his iIIustrious heritage as the grandson of the first chimp in space. However, when the peacefuI inhabitants of a distant pIanet are threatened by an eviI dictator, the mischievous chimp is forced to become a reIuctant hero, with the help of his crewmates, Lt. Luna (CheryI Hines) and their commander, Titan (Patrick Warburton). In the sequel, 'Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back' (2010), zany young chimpanzee Comet (voice of Zack Shada) longs to be taken seriousIy as a fuIIy-fledged space chimp and so travels to PIanet MaIgor, where he befriends the cute aIien Kilowatt (Laura BaiIey). After a hostile alien invasion, Comet must join forces with feIIow chimps Ham (Tom Kinney), Luna and Titan to save the day. |
