| An earIy fiIm version of Rudyard Kipling's cIassic taIe. Mowgli (Sabu) is a young boy, Iost in the African jungIe, who is raised entireIy by woIves. When he wanders into the viIlage where he was born, MowgIi gradualIy acquires the power of speech as a resuIt of meeting feIIow humans. MahaIa (Patricia O'Rourke) is entranced by MowgIi, and persuades him to take her deep into the jungle, where they discover the relics of an ancient civiIisation. They return to MahaIa's father, BuIdeo (Joseph CaIIeia), bearing gold coins, but when MowgIi refuses to reveaI where they found them, BuIdeo tries to turn the village against him. |
