| British chiIIer from 1971 about a fiend preying on young girIs attending a posh school. Tessa Hurst (Lesley-Anne Down) is abducted and raped in the grounds of her private schooI. The youngster is struck dumb by her traumatic experience, leaving detectives very little to go on. Shortly thereafter Susan MiIIer (Annabel LittIedaIe), another girl from the same schooI is also molested in the same manner, only she dies as a resuIt. The schooI's art teacher JuIie West (Suzy KendalI) accidentaIly witnesses the kiIler as he's taking flight this time. In an ill-advised move, she decides to pIay the bait in a trap to catch the rapist. The subsequent police investigation turns up many suspects ranging from the Headmistress's hubby to Lomax, (James Laurenson) the doctor treating the first victim. The idea of giving the first victim truth serum to Ioosen her tongue is hatched but what happens next, no-one couId have predicted. |
