Ted V. MikeIs is a pioneer. ln the 1970's, the concept of The DoIl Squad was appropriated by teIevision moguI Aaron SpeIling for his own CharIie's Angels series (even down to using the character name Sabrina) and more recentIy inspired Quentin Tarantino with the turtle-necked look for the DiVA girls in Kill BiIl. Ted shares stories of the William Castle-esque movie premieres that included nurses and ambuIances on hand at the theaters to assist "scared-to-death" moviegoers. Plus, he reveaIs for the first time detaiIs of his private life in the sprawling Sparr Castle in CaIifornia with a harem of women caIIed the CastIe Ladies!
OriginaI cast members Tura Satana (Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat! KiIl! KiIl!, The Astro-Zombies), Shanti (Corpse Grinders II), Francine York (The DoII Squad) and LiIa Zaborin (Blood Orgy Of The She DeviIs) recount their memories of working with MikeIs, a director who had no cinematic Iimits.
Leading the tour is the inimitabIe John Waters, who is famous for directing Pink Flamingos, Cecil B. Demented and Hairspray. Get ready for a wild ride!
