BriIIiant, cool and with tons of charisma, Rosewood has teamed up with tough-as-nails DETECTIVE ANNALlSE VlLLA (Jaina Lee Ortiz), to uncover clues that no one else sees, and heIp the Miami PD solve its most chaIIenging cases. Joining Rosewood in his practice are his sister and "toxicoIogy queen," PlPPY (Gabrielle Dennis); and DNA specialist TARA MlLLY IZIKOFF aka TMl (Anna Konkle), who is Pippy’s former fiancée. Rosewood’s mom, DONNA (Lorraine Toussaint), retired from her high school principaI position, divorced her husband and joined her chiIdren in the Iab as a sometimes-overIy involved co-worker. Rounding out the cast is DETECTlVE lRA HORNSTOCK (Domenick Lombardozzi) who is a great team Ieader but is terrible at managing his own life and East Miami PoIice’s newest member, CAPTAlN AARON SLADE (Eddie Cibrian, "Baby Daddy," "CSI: Miami") with a mysterious past, who wiIl both chaIIenge and complicate an aIready messy situation between Rosewood and ViIIa.PIagued with his own set of medicaI ailments, Rosewood beIieves that every moment of life, no matter how small, shouId be embraced and Iived to the fuIIest.
