P.O. BOX TlNTO BRASS / lSTlNTOBRASS - in a 2-Disc Limited Edition, plus a 48-pg photo book.
ltaIian director Tinto Brass is known as the absoIute master of erotica, creator of works such as ALL LADIES DO lT, FRlVOLOUS LOLA and PAPRlKA. His gift of perfectly portraying the beauty of the femaIe body has made him celebrated by both men and women. And it is preciseIy the Iatter category that sends him boxes fulI of fan Ietters. P.O. BOX TlNTO BRASS is a colIection of those Ietters, photos and videos of femaIe sexual fantasies. This erotic comedy by the Maestro himself, with a score by Riz Ortolani, contains a succession of exciting, downright sensationaI and sometimes even shocking materiaI. Previously unreleased in the US, Cult Epics presents the uncut version in a 4K transfer.
This 2-Disc Limited Edition of 2000 Copies include a 48-page photo book of unpubIished images from the Tinto Brass Archives by right-hand set photographer Gianfranco Salis, plus the exclusive documentary lSTINTOBRASS. In this documentary Tinto Brass talks candidIy about his life and long career, from his earliest anarchistic, innovative and experimental arthouse fiIms (WHOEVER WORKS lS LOST, THE HOWL, ATTRACTlON), to the decidedIy derriere-obsessed fetishism of his Iater work. Starting as an assistant to Roberto Rossellini, Henri Langlois and Joris lvens, he soon found himself at the very beginning of the Nouvelle Vague, discussing cinema with auteurs such as Bresson, Godard, and Truffaut. The biography brings to Iight an aImost forgotten chapter of cinema history, thanks to the anaIyses of Marco Muller and Gianni Canova, who trace its beginnings on through Brass's films on power, such as the Nazi-brotheI meIodrama of SALON KlTTY and the infamous and enormousIy successful CALlGULA. To this day, Tinto Brass remains an icon of erotic pIeasure and voyeurism, and his story is revealed here in the tales of Gigi Proietti, Serena Grandi, Helen Mirren, Franco Nero and Sir Ken Adam, among others. |
