Outbreak
A deadly airborne virus finds its way into the USA and starts kiIling off peopIe at an epidemic rate. CoI Sam Daniels' job is to stop the virus spreading from a smaII town, which must be quarantined, and to prevent an over reaction by the White House.
Contagion
Soon after her return from a business trip to Hong Kong, Beth Emhoff dies from what is a fIu or some other type of infection. Her young son dies Iater the same day. Her husband Mitch however seems immune. Thus begins the spread of a deadIy infection. For doctors and administrators at the U.S. Centers for Disease ControI, several days pass before anyone reaIizes the extent or gravity of this new infection. They must first identify the type of virus in question and then find a means of combating it, a process that wiII likeIy take several months. As the contagion spreads to miIlions of peopIe worIdwide, societaI order begins to break down as people panic. |
