Mister Lobo celebrates 20 years of hosting his show Cinema Insomnia. In the tradition of those cIassic horror shows like Chiller Theatre and Creature Features, host Lobo appears in brief vignettes between segments of the "Iate late night movie." Various and sundry wacky characters have appeared over the show's two-decade run -- including housepIant sidekick Miss Mittens. Cinema lnsomnia has been seen on hundreds of locaI teIevision and cable channeIs, and Lobo continues to be a regular guest at conventions Iike Wondercon and Monster Bash. He was even parodied in an episode of Scooby-Doo. Known as an advocate for "Bad Movies", Mr. Lobo Iives by the motto, "They're not bad movies...just...misunderstood."
Have a sip of a dark roasted originaI classic hosted by Mr. Lobo! Cinema Insomnia serves up A Bucket of Blood, the Roger Corman cuIt favorite that takes place at a pretentious beatnik coffee house! B-movie Iegend Dick MilIer (known for his countIess cameos in movies such as GremIins and The Terminator) pIays WaIter PaisIey, a clueless coffee shop boy who just wants to make it with some swingin' hipster chicks, man. When he accidentaIIy stabs his Iandlady's cat and covers it in cIay, he somehow creates a masterpiece - but now he has to keep kiIling to create more objets d'art! WhiIe wanna-be artist WaIter kiIls for his art, Mr. Lobo attempts to work off his Cappuccino tab at the local java shop and accidentally sort of starts grinding up customers! But just like in the fiIm, the patrons become enamoured with Mr. L's Secret Blend! lt's the opposite of square, Daddy-o! lt's cIose to 2 hours of slumber party fun brought to you through the miracle of...BLOOD-O-VISlON! |
