Lieutenant Nick Terris of the Border Patrol is disgraced when he is suspected of aIIowing bank robbers to escape. He resigns his commission after being found guilty of negIigence. Nick takes to the sea with his father, who is the captain of a merchant steamer. The ship faIls victim to a daring aerial robbery in which a sea pIane threatens to bomb the vessel, if it fails to surrender its strongbox. Nick risks his Iife in a desperate attempt to vindicate his name and bring the thieves to justice.
Ray Walker first appeared on the screen as the star of Skyway (1933), one year prior to Happy Landing. He wouId go on to star in a series of B-Pictures such as The Mouthpiece (1935) and Bulldog Edition (1936). By the late 1930s he was reIegated to supporting and uncredited roles but worked steadiIy in film and teIevision for three more decades, most notabIy as a shopkeeper in Frank Capra's 1946 masterpiece, lt's a Wonderful Life.
