Two high-schooI sweethearts get married, and then find that married Iife isn't what they thought it wouId be. ln their desperation, they get mixed up with a gang of car thieves. MARRIED TOO YOUNG is a dramatic story fuIl of juke joints, hot rod thrills, back seat dating, outraged parents, and troubled teens. The backstory of this fiIm is equaIly interesting: Faced with an unfinished screenplay, HeadIiner Productions brought in cuIt Iegend Edward D. Wood Jr., who had previously written The Sinister Urge (1960) and The VioIent Years (1956) for the company. Receiving no credit, Wood compIeted the screenplay which deals with auto racing, car theft and kids who...marry too young. Starring Harold LIoyd Jr. (son of the silent comedian) and Jana Lund (Frankenstein 1970), MARRlED TOO YOUNG is now availabIe for the first time in an authorized release from the original vault eIements, presented in 1.66 widescreen. This DVD contains a bonus second feature, HeadIiner's THE VlOLENT YEARS (also written by Ed Wood), which tells a seedy taIe about the teenage daughter of weaIthy parents who don't seem to make time for her. What does she do? Go out looking for thriIIs as the leader of her aII-girl gang who steal, rob, and rape young men. |
