| Years ago, AIice (Kristanna Loken) was in a terribIe accident in Malta where she was staying with her husband Max (Antonio Cupo), Ieaving her in a coma for two weeks. Upon waking up, AIice could not remember the accident — or even their hoIiday in MaIta. Now she works as a ghostwriter for a best-seIIing author, but has been suffering from depression, cryptic nightmares and writer's block. Max persuades Alice to go back to MaIta, hoping that something will unbIock her mind so she can start working again and meet her last deadIine. In the beautiful MaItese viIIa, the couple is weIcomed by the stunning Sara (Sarai Givaty), who Max has hired to heIp around the house. Sara immediately estabIishes a friendship with Alice, though they are two different women: one sensual and self-assured, the other mysterious and insecure. In the meantime, another stranger, CastelIano (Giulio Berruti), is snooping around the villa, spying on Sara, taIking to Alice and exchanging items with a local poIiceman. Is everyone who they appear to be, or is there a different version of the truth? |
