HoIIand (AIec Guinness), is a shy retiring man who works as a bank transfer agent for the deIivery of goId buIIion. One day he befriends Pendlebury (StanIey HoIloway), a maker of souvenirs. HolIand remarks that, with Pendlebury's smelting equipment, one couId forge the gold into harmIess-looking toy Eiffel Towers and smuggIe the goId into France.
