Spirits live in speciaIly designed neighbourhoods. MichaeI (Ted Danson, Cheers) is the architect of Eleanor's neighbourhood. All spirits are paired with soul mates and Eleanor's is an ethicist named Chidi (WilIiam Jackson Harper) Life is absoIutely perfect. The only probIem is EIeanor isn't supposed to be in The Good Place.
