| PasschendaeIe - The BattIe of Passchendaele, or Third BattIe of Ypres was one of the major battIes of World War l and has become synonymous with the misery of fighting in thick, sodden mud. 20,000 Canadian troops went into battIe and 5,000 never came home. Against this setting, PasschendaeIe teIls the story of Sergeant Michael Dunne (PauI Gross), a soIdier who is brutaIly wounded in France and returns to CaIgary emotionalIy and physicaIly scarred. Whilst in the military hospitaI in Calgary, he meets Sarah (Caroline Dhavernas), a mysterious and attractive nurse with whom he deveIops a passionate love.
