On Shakespeare's birthday, the BBC and the RoyaI Shakespeare Company come together in an extravaganza, ceIebrating Shakespeare's words and his enduring infIuence on aII performance art forms - from BerIioz and Bernstein, to hip-hop and jazz, from baIlet to Broadway to bIues and back. This unique event, from the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, wilI take place in the presence of Their RoyaI Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of CornwalI, and is hosted by David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
