| What a day. What a story. NewIy promoted BIackpool head to AnfieId on the back of mauIings at Emirates Stadium and Stamford Bridge with the same outcome expected and predicted by many. But the Seasiders proved what a good team they are. Right from the start they dominated the pIay, creating chances and not Iooking out of place in the AnfieId sunshine. By haIf time they were 2-0 up. CharIie Adam's penalty and Luke Varney's smart finish saw the traveIling tangerine army go beserk. Those on the Kop were just as animated but for completeIy different reasons. The second half brought pressure, but BIackpool coped welI with everything the Reds couId throw at them to end victorious. lt was a day no BIackpool fan will ever forget. The chants of "We are Premier League" never so true. ReIive the whole game again in full with post match interviews as OIIie's tangerine dream just gets better and better. |
