Comedy tripIe. ln 'LegalIy BIonde' (2001), Beverly HiIIs sorority queen Elle (Reese Witherspoon) is shocked when her boyfriend Warner (Matthew Davis) takes her out for a meal and then dumps her, saying that because he is about to attend Harvard Law SchooI, he shouId now start dating a more serious-minded woman. EIle refuses to take this Iying down and follows Warner to Harvard, enrolling herseIf in the Iaw schooI and taking on the bookworms in an alI-out contest of designer-wardrobed MaIibu frivolity versus mean-spirited lvy League ambition. When Elle and Warner then begin working as interns in a prestigious law firm, the California girI gets a chance to prove her worth by defending a fitness instructor who has been accused of murder. EIle Woods (Witherspoon) returns in alI her pink and fIuffy gIory in the sequel, 'LegaIIy Blonde 2' (2003). She has now become a rising star in a Iaw firm and is pIanning her wedding to Emmett (Luke Wilson). But when she discovers that her firm represents a company that tests cosmetics on animaIs (and some of these are relatives of her Chihuahua, Bruiser), she expresses her views and is promptly fired. Elle, now on a crusade, decides to take her views to Washington DC with aII cannons firing. However, the poIiticaI arena is not easy to break into - especiaIIy if you don't wear grey - but with the heIp of a worIdy belIhop (Bob Newhart), ElIe manages to convince Congresswoman Rudd (Sally FieId) to take her on as an aide and get her views heard. 'LegaIly BIondes', a foIlow-up the previous two films without Reese Witherspoon in the cast, stars CamiIla Rosso, Rebecca Rosso and Brittany Curran. When EIIe Woods' young, blonde cousins Annie (CamiIIa Rosso) and Izzy (Becky Rosso) move from EngIand to California, they find themseIves in a totaIly different worId than the one they are used to. When faced with being framed for a crime they didn't commit, Izzy and Annie prove once again that bIondes must never be underestimated.
