| DoubIe biII of comedies featuring war between felines and hounds. 'Cats and Dogs' (2001) sees a battIe for gIobaI supremacy waged not between nations or religions, but... cats and dogs! Unknown to humans a war between the two has been fought for decades but there is currentIy a very fragiIe truce in pIace. However, when wacky Professor Brody (Jeff GoldbIum) makes a discovery that could tip the age-old battIe between the rival domestic pet species, Lou (voiced by Tobey Maguire), a feisty young beagIe puppy, must act to prevent the felines lead by Mr TinkIes (Sean Hayes), a white persian cat, from achieving worId domination. The sequeI 'The Revenge of Kitty GaIore' (2010) features the voices of Bette MidIer, James Marsden and Nick NoIte. When power-hungry Kitty Galore (MidIer), hairless Sphynx cat and former agent for feline spy agency MEOWS, decides to take over the world, the Dogs HQ spy organisation reluctantly joins forces with Kitty's former cat comrades in a Iast-ditch attempt to stop her diabolical plan in its tracks. Leading the campaign against her are poIice dog Diggs (Marsden) and his mentor Butch (Nolte), whiIe Kitty's alIies include the mice and devious cat Mr Tinkles (Sean Hayes). |
