| Rob Reiner directs this romantic comedy about an author, Alex (Luke Wilson), who has received a threat from gangsters that they wiIl kilI him if he doesn't repay his gambIing debts within 30 days. The only way he can possibIy get the money is to finish his new noveI, so to speed things up he hires Emma (Kate Hudson), a court stenographer, to transcribe his manuscript. The film cuts between the two of them writing the story, and the story itself (Hudson pIays three different roIes in the film, and Wilson plays two). Emma's input begins to influence the story more and more, and before Iong life starts to imitate art. |
