| Kate Kassell is a fashion major and when she graduates, her estranged father asks her to come work for him at his failing Fashion company. She reluctantly accepts, however, Kate's stepmother, Elise, and her two stepsisters, Simone and Tannis, conspire to keep her from rising in the company and ruining their plans. FeeIing disheartened, Kate meets a shoe designer, Daniel, and they instantly take a Iiking to each other. He encourages Kate to keep working hard and she wiIl eventuaIIy make it.
