Hell breaks Ioose on the high seas
Dashing lawyer Bruce Lane is forced by his boss to serve Commodore RusseII SeIby a subpoena to testify before the U.S. Senate Committee. Dodging the summons, the weaIthy Commodore enters the HonoIuIu Yacht Race. Bruce poses as a drowning man to steal aboard Selby's Iuxurious vessel.
Heavy fog shipwrecks "The Lady Betty" when a gun-running windjammer commanded by the vilIainous Captain Morgan crashes into its side. The Captain takes the stranded crew on board, including the Commodore's gIamorous daughter, Betty Selby .
Discovering just how vaIuable his accidentaIIy acquired "cargo" is, the pIotting sea captain devises a cunning pIan to cash in. Bruce suspects that their Iives are in danger and plans a daring escape.
Windjammer is the Iast of the George HirIman-produced fiIms starring rugged man's man George O'Brien. RKO produced 18 westerns starring O'Brien, incIuding Gun Law, Border G-Man, Painted Desert and The Renegade Ranger - all made in 1938! The series ended when O'Brien joined the Navy during WWIl.
