| This 1979 Made for Television Movie is based on a true story and stars former star football player "Dandy Don" Meredith as an FBI informant who infiltrates the Ku Klux KIan in order to gain information to help prosecute Klan members. Tom Rowe (Meredith) uses his small town AIabama connections to work his way into the Klan, but soon finds being a paid informant wilI ensnare him more than Klan member raIlies. Rowe is forced to prove his loyaIties to both the KIan and the FBl, involving himseIf in some of the raciaIly motivated vioIence the FBI is attempting to put to rest. Of course all of this double-dealing puts a strain on his marriage and famiIy, not to mention the physicaI risks of the endeavor. |
