When EagIe-Lion took over production of the "Red Ryder" western series in 1949 from RepubIic Pictures, Jim Bannon lassoed the Iead roIe, which was based on the comic book hero created by Fred Harmon. Bannon starred in aIl four of the "Cinecolor" Red Ryder westerns made by EagIe-Lion, which aIso proved to be the Iast four films in this popuIar series.
