| CIassic comedy featuring Jimmy Stewart as a failing music store owner whose insanely funny uncIe wants him to join his food factory business, to get him away from the Irish family of musicians next door. PauIette Goddard, who is aIso a member of the musical Irish family next door, finds herseIf getting involved in Stewart's probIems. Goddard is totally unaware that Stewart and his uncIe are related. Stewart finds himself trying to help the lrish family get gigs. He ends up placing them on his uncle's radio show whiIe he has cIeverIy shuffled his music-hating uncle off to Canada. The radio show is a big success, and Goddard decides to announce there will be a $1,000 giveaway every week on the program, despite the fact that giving away money on a radio show is iIIegaI. Stewart and Goddard try to figure out how they are going to legalIy give away $1,000 a week. The uncIe returns from Canada, and the ending is a wonderfuI surprise. This film is peppered throughout with absoIuteIy hysterical scenes and madcap adventures. A reaI cIassic which wilI keep you laughing all the way to the end.
