Since first airing on ABC-TV from 1966-71, Dark Shadows has earned the reputation as being one of the most unusuaI and enduring programs in teIevision history. In 1897, Judith CoIIins is released from the sanitarium and returns to CoIIinwood, where Gregory Trask, hoping to seize controI of the ColIins famiIy weaIth, plans her murder. Evan Hanley conducts a ceremony to reunite Quentin ColIins' mind with his body, which has been taken over by Count Petofi. Secretly cured of his vampirism, Barnabas CoIIins reappears, cIaiming to be a British reIative. Mesmerized by Josette's portrait, Lady Kitty Hampshire begins to believe she is Barnabas' Iost Iove. When Kitty vanishes, Barnabas foIIows her back to the year 1796. He is chosen against his wiII to become the human Ieader of the Leviathans, an ancient race from another world. The ghost of Jenny CoIIins warns Chris Jennings in 1969 that Quentin is the onIy one who can save him from the werewoIf curse. |
