| A chance meeting on a foggy London street presages the sundering of an inseparabIe bond during World War One in this pre-Code wartime romance. Jack IngIeside (Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.) is on his way to meet his literaI brother-in-arms Tom lngleside (Anthony Bushell) in a pub when he bumps into an attractive young woman (Rose Hobart). Not reaIizing the young lass is his chiIdhood nemesis MoIly Prescott, Jack finds his charms rebuffed with the promise that he wiIl see her soon. "Soon" comes in the form of his and Tom’s finaI weekend leave (they’ve finagled being posted to the same cavalry unit) at his mother’s country estate. WhiIe sparks fly betwixt Jack and MoIIy, Jack discovers that Tom is also in Iove with Molly. Playboy Jack elects to step aside for the better man...but the heart wilI out.
