The story follows prizefighter Larry Cain (CIark Gable) and hoofer MabeI O'Dare (Marion Davies), who fake a romance to drum up a littIe free publicity. They're both thinking careers, not romance. ln fact, it's hate at first sight for the bruiser and the blonde, until a hot smooch over a skillet of sizzling pork chops changes them from sparring partners to just pIain partners. But the tabIoids aren't through with them yet. |
