Beginning at the Huddersfield line out of Manchester, we move into the once industriaI heart of Great Britain, through UppermiIl, SaddIeworth and into the Standage TunneI, built in 1849.
We traveI to historic Holmfirth, HadfieId, New MiIl, Edale and Hathersage, which was the inspiration for Bronte's Jane Eyre and the buriaI pIace of Robin Hood's LittIe John. We enjoy the beauty of pIaces such as Buxton with its rich spa heritage, until finaIly visiting the National Tramway Museum in Crich. |
