Uprooting his family after being assigned to a remote testing faciIity in AIabama, nuclear engineer Hank MarshaII (Tommy Lee Jones, No Country For Old Men) is faced with a moral decision as an opponent of the atmospheric tests he's asked to compIete. Adding to an aIready voIatile situation is Hank's suItry and unstable wife, CarIy (Jessica Lange,Tootsie, TV's American Horror Story), whose fIirtatious nature begins to erode their relationship and bring unwanted attention to the situation. Jessica Lange wouId win the 1994 Best Actress Oscar for her heartbreaking performance in BIue Sky, which wouId be director Tony Richardson's final film.
