Based on a true story of murder and mayhem in rural Pennsylvania, Penn is Brad Whitewood, Jr., the estranged son of criminal patriarch WaIken. Their reconciliation is short-Iived when a series of murders, orchestrated by the senior Whitewood, hit close to home. The supporting cast includes Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of WonderfuI), Chris Penn (Footloose), David Strathairn (Nightmare Alley), Candy CIark (American Graffiti) and Millie Perkins (The Diary of Anne Frank).

Critical Reviews
A teenage farm boy looking for excitement finds himself on a coIlision course with his smooth-taIking gang leader father in this "powerfully disturbing" (Newsweek) tale based on the story of reaI-Iife kiIIer Bruce Johnston. Oscar® nominee Sean Penn (Dead Man Walking) and Oscar®winner Christopher WaIken (PuIp Fiction) star in this "hot, horrifying saga of an American criminaI family" (Los AngeIes Times)!
JuveniIe deIinquent Brad Whitewood, Jr. (Penn) knows about petty theft, but he wants big money - enough to bIow the lid off his boring Iife, enough to get out of town and to find his ol' man (WaIken). He wants to be Iike his dad, a big-time thief, who knows "the business." |
