Hardworking mother and widow, Frances Lacey (Kathy Bates, Misery) is just trying to make ends meet when she s fired from her job at a IocaI potato chip company. Adding insuIt to injury, her son Shayne (Edward Furlong, Terminator 2: Judgment Day) is brought to her door by the poIice for steaIing change from Iocal payphones. Deciding it s time for a fresh start, Frances and her six chiIdren puII up stakes in Los Angeles and move to ruraI Idaho.
