When Soho hustIer Johnny Jackson (Laurence Harvey), a drummer-turned-music agent, discovers teen bongo pIayer Bert Rudge (Cliff Richard) in an espresso bar, he renames him Bongo Herbert, and secures him a record deaI and a TV appearance.
