Raised in a Catholic household and attending a private Catholic school, Thomas' life took a drastic turn at the age of 11 when his parents divorced after a tumultuous marriage. Moving with his mother and sisters to a new town, he transitioned from the familiar private Catholic school to a local public school, experiencing profound loneliness. Tragedy struck at 13 when his mother died in a car crash, leaving his estranged father as the sole caretaker. Coping with pain and confusion, Thomas turned to drugs and alcohol at 14, leading to a life-threatening overdose at the age of 15. Mandated to attend rehabilitation, he faced numerous challenges, including legal troubles and homelessness.
