An exciting historical thriller inspired by real-life events.
Germany, year 799. Charlemagne, king of Western Europe, instructs Gorgias, an expert Byzantine scribe, to translate a document that is of vital importance for Christianity.
Meanwhile Theresa, Gorgias' daughter and apprentice scribe, is forced to flee from Würzburg due to false accusations and seeks refuge in Fulda, where she meets a British friar, Alcuin of York.
After Gorgias' mysterious disappearance, Theresa will find herself part of a conspiracy where nothing is what it seems.
Alongside Alcuino, the young woman must fearlessly fight to find her father, while at the same time solve a mystery that is vital for the future of Christianity. |
