Laurie Avadis has been an artist, a photographer, a musician and an author. He is a family lawyer and he's had the unfortunate experience of working with children in situations as bad as, and even worse, than the characters in Ex, his first novel.

Laurie first published a draft version of the story to writing community ABCtales, where he received feedback for every chapter and was able to edit it according to the community's reactions.

Laurie has decided to match pledges on Unbound with donations to Shooting Star Children's Hospice.
