The book is an authoritative introductory work on electroslag remelting technology for high-quality special steels. It comprises 9 chapters that cover the electroslag remelting technology and propose two innovative process theories. The first is the cleanliness control theory with invariable process parameters, and the second is the homogenization solidification theory of shallow molten pool at ultrafast cooling and optimal melting speeds, both of which were developed by the authors.  Based on these two theories, the book introduces relevant fundamental theories for the regulation of composition homogenization, cleanliness, solidification microstructure, and quality control technology for typical steel grades.
