Actuator nonlinearities are ubiquitous in engineering practice and limit control system performance. While standard feedback control alone cannot handle these nonsmooth nonlinearities effectively, this book shows how such nonlinear characteristics can be compensated for by using adaptive and intelligent control techniques.
