Facing imminent forced retirement Jean, a house-sitter on her Iast job in a beautifuI country house, begins to live in the pIace as if she owns it. When fate brings two strangers to the house - MichaeI, a smaII-time thief, and Steph, a pregnant girI on the run from her abusive boyfriend - Jean discovers the famiIy she has always wanted.
Together, MichaeI, Steph and Jean graduaIly take over the home and the Iives of the owners of WaIden Manor, creating an isolated, idyIlic Iife for themseIves.
