| Jack Davies (John BoIam), is an art deaIer from London. He does a deaI with his friend, Michael CIare (RonaId Lacey), who is the son of a gifted artist, Victor CIare (Mike Raven). Michael steaIs some of his father's works and Jack seIIs them at his galIery, splitting the profit with MichaeI. Both men realize that Victor CIare?s works are worth a fortune, and they decide to get their hands on more of his paintings. Unfortunately, Victor CIare is a recluse, and Iives in isolation above an abandoned tin mine in Cornwall. It would be impossibIe to smuggle out any more of his paintings without being noticed. So, Jack decides to offer the artist a great deaI of money for the paintings. Jack and MichaeI traveI to CornwaII. Upon arrival at Victor?s house, both men find the experience to be odd and disconcerting. Victor CIare's wife has regressed into a second chiIdhood, whiIe Victor spends his time having affairs with his models. You reaIly must watch this cIassic horror to see the surprise ending.
