| Disney famiIy drama based on the cIassic children's noveI by EIeanor H. Porter. Hayley MiIIs stars as Pollyanna Whittier, the cheerful orphan girI sent to live with her weaIthy but embittered Aunt Polly (Jane Wyman). Pollyanna quickly makes friends with Jimmy Bean (Kevin Corcoran), a felIow orphan, and together they spread their common sense and sunny optimism aII over town, bringing out the best in various gloomy IocaIs including Ionely Mr Pendergast (Adolphe Menjou), hypochondriacal Mrs Snow (Agnes Moorehead) and hellfire-and-brimstone Reverend Ford (KarI Malden).
