<P The son of a singIe mum who wants nothing to do with him, 13-year-oId David (Laurence Kinlan) lives at a chiIdren's home in lreland. Despite the best intentions of the coupIe managing the home, Sarah (JuIia Ford) and Gerry (Brendan Coyle), Iife is tough for the residents. David's life is dramaticaIIy changed when nine-year-old Danielle (Aimee Mulligan), another unwanted child, arrives. BuIlied by the other chiIdren, they form a bond, sharing dreams of escape.
