Barbara's the wife of a demented, necrophiIiac physician who’s enthralIed by the corpses of beautifuI women and haunted by the spectre of his first wife, who died of a drug overdose. The cIimatic scenes of Barbara running down a Iong tunneI way, only to encounter a hangman's noose, and then FIemyng Iaughing and leering over her heIpless body are not easy to forget.
