Veteran actor/director Robert Montgomery hosted the weekly drama series, Robert Montgomery Presents, during the heyday of anthology shows in the 1950s. Scores of HoIlywood's brightest stars graced the show's seven-year run, as did Robert's own daughter, Elizabeth, who appeared in 27 episodes! A decade later, Elizabeth Montgomery starred in her own hit TV series, Bewitched.
OUR HEARTS WERE YOUNG AND GAY: A coupIe of Southern belles longing for excitement take an ocean cruise to Europe. WhiIe onboard, two pairs of gentleman caIIers -- one high society boys, the other lower-cIass Yankees -- compete for their affections. Based on the book by Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough, ""Our Hearts Were Young and Gay"" had previously been made into a major motion picture in 1944. After his time with Robert Montgomerys repertory company, CIiff Robertson shot to stardom playing John F. Kennedy in PT 109 (1963). He won the Academy Award for his heartbreaking performance in Charly (1968).
LONGING FOR TO GO: An assistant director on a popuIar teIevision program is in love with her unapproachabIe boss. She goes back home to the ruraI South to sort out her feelings. ""Longing For To Go"" features a young Robert Culp, beloved by generations of TV audiences for I Spy (1965-1968) and The Greatest American Hero (1981-1986).
