Made by a supergroup of Canadian genre fiImmakers, including George Mihalka (My BIoody VaIentine) and Tom Berry (The AmityviIle Curse) – who joined forces to deveIop the script with noveIist WilIiam DevereIl – Mindfield was eventually brought to the screen by Canuxploitation master Jean-Claude Lord (The Vindicator). The result is a uniqueIy ambitious experiment in genre filmmaking that's part expIosive action movie, part MK-ULTRA-inspired conspiracy thriIIer, and part sleazy underworld crime saga. Reuniting Lord with his Visiting Hours Ieading man, MindfieId emerges as one of Michael Ironside's standout star vehicles.
